Woman of the Year Finalist: Christine Burrows Leading Excellence in Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing.
Christine Burrows, Axiom’s Strategic Sourcing Manager, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Women Leaders in Electronics Awards 2025. A finalist in the Woman of the Year category, she’s been nominated for her outstanding achievements in leading a team of six direct reports and overseeing sourcing and supply chain activities for all of Axiom’s customers.

Organised by Electronics Weekly, the awards celebrate women who are driving innovation, leadership and change across the electronics industry. The event will be held on 29th April at the historic One Moorgate Place, London.

Reflecting on her shortlisting, Christine said: “I’m incredibly excited to have been nominated for this award and am grateful for the recognition of my achievements. I’m thankful for my amazing team and Axiom for believing in me, and I’m looking forward to the awards evening.”

Christine has made numerous impactful contributions during her time at Axiom, including ensuring continuity of supply for Axiom’s largest customer over the past two years. She’s also tackled complex supply chain challenges for major commercial clients, managing the procurement of hundreds of components to meet aggressive project deadlines. Additionally, Christine’s involvement in Project Oyster (the ventilator challenge during COVID-19) was pivotal. She played a key role in sourcing 28.3 million components, proactively addressing supply chain disruptions, and re-sourcing critical parts to ensure smooth operations when many manufacturers faced setbacks.

Chris Nye, Axiom’s Managing Director, commented: “I’m thrilled to see Christine shortlisted for such a well-deserved award. She’s a great leader who is passionate about solving problems, meeting customer expectations, and supporting the growth and well-being of her team. Christine has built a highly effective team ethic, and her contributions are invaluable to Axiom. We’re all the richer for having her here and wish her the best of luck at the awards.”
